Optimise Your Grinding Process:

Dressing Spindle Systems

Dressing spindles are designed for dressing conventional corundum, SiC or ceramic bonded CBN and diamond grinding wheels.

To ensure consistent quality throughout the entire grinding process, dressing the grinding wheel before or during its first use is essential. For this process, you need a precision dressing spindle with high concentricity and axial run-out accuracy with special bearing and a rotating dressing tool which is specifically designed for the process.

By adjusting the dressing process, it is possible to influence the grinding process quickly and flexibly. This is how we guarantee the highest quality standards and a smooth production process.

Dressing Tools

Dressing describes the process of profiling and sharpening a grinding tool. To adjust the profile, microtopography, and concentricity of a grinding wheel for a new grinding process or to compensate for wear, dressing your grinding tool is essential.

We offer standing and rotating diamond dressing tools. Most standing dressing tools (single-point dressers, dressing plates, and multi-grain dressers) are NC-controlled and guided along the grinding wheel in axial direction. When profiling with rotating dressing tools, for example using a diamond roller dresser, the tool is run along the profile of the grinding wheel via NC-control in radial and axial direction. Diamond profile rollers have the negative profile of the grinding wheel and are positioned radially to the grinding wheel.

Our dressing tools can be applied in the following areas:

Flexible Abrasives

In several industries, form grinding is an important method to process workpieces of various shapes. This process involves the use of flexible grinding tools combined with an elastic supporting component.

Particularly for these applications, belt grinding—due to the flexibility of the grinding tool combined with an elastic supporting component—has clear advantages compared to grinding processes involving bond grinding tools. Further products, such as cutting and grinding discs, and elastic abrasives, are also part of our portfolio.

Honing Tools

Honing is a chipping manufacturing process using bonded grains (corundum, silicon carbide, CBN, or diamond) to improve or change the form, dimensional accuracy, and surface quality of a workpiece. It involves continuous contact between tool and surface.

Generally, honing is the last step of the manufacturing process after other finishing processes, such as grinding.

The process is divided into three main groups:

Lapping and Polishing

Lapping is a mainly room-bound process with geometrically undefined cutting edges. Depending on the desired surface quality, lapping—a superfinishing process—is often followed by the polishing process.

The process is defined as chipping with loose grains distributed in a fluid or paste which are guided with a usually shape-transferring counterpart, the lapping tool, featuring ideally undirected cutting paths of the individual grains.

Special Precision Tools Made of Solid Carbide, Diamond and CBN

If your grinding process is not profitable, we are happy to provide tool, drill, and milling bits using diamond (PCD, CVD, mono) and CBN as cutting material.

Grinding Tools

Grinding wheels are highly specialised tools which are explicitly designed and manufactured for specific applications. They consist of three essential components: abrasive grain, bond, and pores.

There are various field of application, e.g.:
ball grinding, camshaft grinding, crankshaft grinding, cylindrical grinding, surface grinding, tool grinding, profile grinding, internal cylindrical grinding, plunge grinding, etc.

We offer several types of abrasives including:
Besides, we can provide you with different bonds as needed:

Wear Protection Solutions

Tools and components which wear out easily can be coated with wear protection material, such as cemented carbide, ceramic, or diamond.

To make sure that rotating components are conveyed without slipping, revolving lathe centres can be electroplated with diamond.

Tool rests coated with PCD or CVD, such as workrest blades for centreless grinding or guide elements like steady rest blocks, offer interesting advantages compared to cemented carbide. A high level of hardness which means increased tool life and a lower friction coefficient improve component quality.

Tools for Flat Glass Processing and the Optical Industry

Diamond tools are ideal for processing glass. We provide all tools for the processing of flat glass or optical and technical glass used for lenses, microscopes as well as spectacles.
